Miss South Africa Tamaryn Green is taking a trip to Amsterdam where she will be attending the 49th World Union Conference on Lung Health.
According to the World Lung Health website, the conference is “the world’s largest gathering of clinicians and public health workers, policymakers, researchers and advocates working to end the suffering caused by lung disease.
Sharing more information on what she will be doing at the conference, Tamaryn wrote: “I will be speaking and MC’ing at an event aimed at recognising outstanding TB leaders.”
The beauty queen has been vocal about her aim to raise awareness around TB, letting supporters in on her struggle with the disease during a press conference in August where she also announced the launch of her #BreakTheStigma campaign.
Since then Tamaryn has also spoken out about the disease at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
