The mum who gave birth to quads doing well with her babies. The People’s Paper visited the young mum in Khayelitsha, Cape Town to see how she’s doing three months after she gave birth to her four babies.
The Cape Quads, as they have become affectionately known, will be four months tomorrow.
Inga Mafenuka (23), who gave birth to quadruplets, is doing well with her babies! “I still can’t believe God blessed me with four kids but I thank him for giving me this gift,” said the smiling mum.
It was never going to be easy for her to take care of all four babies and that’s why she decided to get a nanny to help her. “Even though I wanted to do it alone, I wouldn’t be able to do it because they sometimes want attention at the same time,” said Inga.
Her kid’s names are Bungcwele (girl), Buchule (boy), Bubele (boy) and Bunono (girl).
“This is a gift from God and I can’t say I will never have kids again. It is only God who knows what will happen. Maybe he will bless me with twins next time, I don’t know. For now, I am just focusing on these four,” said Inga.
She sleeps with one baby, two sleep with the nanny and the fourth one sleeps with her mother. Nanny Nozintombi Saba (49), who lives with Inga and her babies, said: “It is not easy because when one goes to sleep, another one wakes up but I’m enjoying the experience.”
Inga said she would forever be grateful to all those who donated clothes for her babies. She also said LottoStar kept its promise and had been giving her money every month.
