Pearl Thusi continues to fly the SA flag high. With a successful nationwide modelling career, brand collaborations and memorable top magazine cover appearances in magazines like Gaschette, Destiny Hair, Bona Magazine and a notable bunch of other collaborations, you can’t help but marvel at how far Pearl Thusi has come.
The all-rounder media personality has also enjoyed a budding international acting career including her appearances on Quantico as Dayana, Blue Mauritius and Catching Feelings (a romantic comedy) and many other local dramas and films to her name.
Unstoppable as she is, Pearl was recently featured in Scorpion King: Book of Souls where she plays warrior princess Tala. The media star continues to fly the South Africa flag high as she is one celebrity who has not let her nationality define her success as she even taps into the Hollywood scene like a pro too.
From her early days in Zone 14, the actress has served us some real entertainment goals for the past 10 years and it’s also interesting to know that Pearl is also very much into animals as well. Growing up Pearl wanted to be a vet and this ambition was partially fulfilled as she currently serves as a wildlife advocate who spearheads campaigns against animal cruelty with a special focus on the welfare of lions to ensure the world is well educated on the best ways to safeguard the species.
From animal care to supporting and uplifting women and children who are victims of gender-based violence, Pearl also heads the Black Halo project which partners with several local and international organisations to secure funds for victimised women to further their education and receive mentorship.
We, however, cannot conclude a conversation on Pearl Thusi without mentioning her fair amount of celebrity relationships from Walter Mokoena the father of her daughter to Robert Marawa and later a rumoured relationship with Keri Hilson’s ex NBA player Serge Ibaka.
The story of Pearl, our own local jewel can never be over said as she continues to inspire millions with her larger than life career, mega deal endorsements and philanthropic work.
