Pictures of Brenda Mhlongo after being fired from Generations: The Legacy. The showed how hurt she was by not being offered another contract to keep on appearing on one of Mzansi’s top hit dramas Generations: The Legacy.
Just a few weeks ago we heard of the news of Thuso Mbedu’s exit from the SABC 1 Soapie and now it has been confirmed that Brenda Mhlongo who plays the character of Nandi has also left the show.
Speaking to Daily Sun the actress had explained that her contract was not renewed and the writers of the show would no longer be taken her character further within the soapies storyline. She was informed that September would be her last month of being on set.
According to the publication, the actress expressed great disappointment that she would no longer be on the show. “I was told September would be my last month as a member of the cast. Although it broke my heart, I remembered contracts are negotiated and sometimes they are not renewed. I was aware my contract wouldn’t be renewed one day,”
Brenda Mhlongo was one of the lead actors on SABC 1’s Generations: The Legacy but DRUM has learnt that the actress has been axed from the show. According to a close source, Brenda who played Rafiki in The Lion King for more than five years is no longer part of the soapie.
In an interview with DRUM, Brenda confirmed that she’s done shooting her scenes already. “My contract was not renewed. The writers said they don’t know how to take my character forward,” she told DRUM.
So we decided to share with you pictures of the legendary actress as we celebrate her part in helping the soapie to become what it is today, view the pictures below…
