Makhaya Ntini will be visiting Horizon Deep soon. The former Proteas fast bowler will be making an appearance on popular SABC 3 soapie, Isidingo. The cricketer will play himself on the show. He has already started shooting his scenes.
Actress Soso Rungqu shared a video of the retired cricket player at Sasani studios, where the soapie is recorded.
“Look who came to visit us vandag she captioned the clip.
She tried to get Makhaya to spill the beans on his appearance, but he refused to say a word. He did show off his script and joked that he needed to learn it. Speaking to the Daily Sun, the soapie’s publicist says that the 41-year-old will be taking the T20 trophy to Horizon Deep.
“We are very excited to have him on the show and I’m sure that the show’s viewers will be delighted to see him once again,” Catherine told the publication.
The episode featuring the 41-year-old will air next week on Wednesday
Makhaya’s scenes will air next week Wednesday, November 14.
Since hanging up his boots, he has stayed close to the cricket world.
Makhaya most recently worked as an assistant coach for Zimbabwe national cricket team. He has since resigned from the position.
